Born in Samarkand, I grew up across the world, and have worked on the ground in the markets I cover, most recently from Southeast Asia. Some global work is managed from a single desk, one playbook for markets understood only through dashboards. I have done it differently: in person, across cultures, languages, regions, and time zones.

Where it started

Ran communications and public affairs for the British Council and the FCO across five Central Asian countries, building cultural dialogue along the old Silk Road. Schooled in Whitehall statecraft, where every word is weighed.

A $300,000 annual budget and 15+ nationwide projects, from learning programmes to live performance. British artists and Central Asian heritage on one stage, reaching millions in person and on air.

Agency leadership

Ketchum and Edelman

Led press offices and multi-country programmes for some of the world’s biggest technology brands across Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS, with launches, reputation, and crisis work moving through 25+ markets at once.

At Ketchum, turned a young practice into a powerhouse: revenue doubled, the team grew from 7 to 35 in a year. At Edelman, joined the incoming leadership to rebuild the regional business and scale its media and digital practices.

In-house and frontier

A focused chapter at Samsung’s Eurasia HQ, a 55-strong network. Since 2017, I have advised frontier-tech founders and built their communications systems from zero: vision and strategy first, then narrative and storytelling, then a tailored rollout across 45+ very different markets.

Attention was never the endpoint. The work had to move capital, partnerships, reputation, and scale. With founders, that impact has to land faster and at higher stakes: belief sharpens, partners commit, scale earns trust.
